The Nation Speaks for the Environment
A newscast of the first Earth Day in 1970 reported millions of people participating in protests around the United States. Earth Day began as demonstrations, drawing the attention of America. Now celebrated each year on April 22nd, Earth Day is a reminder of the national interest in the environmental movement. It provides an ongoing way for environmental issues to be addressed.
